Our Junior Tennis Academy provides top quality training for players from beginner to advanced. Whether you are looking for a summer program or year around training, we offer the best possible training to grow a junior’s game. Our academy is built on a foundation of Sportsmanship, Teamwork and a Commitment to Excellence. FLEXIBLE Practice / Class Schedules
Each of our Academy Programs have various session times scheduled during the week. Players can register for as many, or as few of the sessions as they choose. Sessions can be registered for up to 14 days in advance and can be added or dropped online up to 7 hours before each session. Session Days and Times may vary during the year based on the time of the year, customer feedback, court schedules, weather, etc. Session times can easily be viewed online on our CourtReserve APP.

NEW Courts, Facility And Owners
Sports Connection has been providing Youth and Families in the Charlotte area opportunities to play and learn a variety of Sports since 1995. We look forward to improving the Tennis Facilities and Tennis Programs at the former Charlotte Tennis And Pickleball facility located at 8401 Sharon Lakes Drive.
PACKAGES Can Be Pre-Purchased To Save Money
Each Academy Program allows for customers to register and pay for each session ONE at a time, OR you can Pre-Purchase a “Package Of Sessions/Punches” for a discounted price and use them each time when you register for a session. The discounted Packages are valid for 3 months. Packages can be viewed and purchased online on our CourtReserve APP by clicking on “Purchase Academy Packages” option under the Events tab. Some players may be invited to join our higher level programs and have the option to pay one monthly fee instead of per session / class.
ANNUAL Registration
Each of our Academy Programs require an Annual Registration Fee. The Registration Fee is valid for One FULL Year. The Junior Academy Registration / Membership automatically renews each year, one year from time of purchase. Customers wishing to cancel their Membership before it renews should email [email protected].

If you are interested in learning more about our Charlotte Tennis NC Junior Academy, please fill out our Custom Request Form. Once we receive your information, we will update you with more information and provide you a link to schedule a Date and Time to register online for an Evaluation Session with one of our Tennis Professionals. This Evaluation Session will allow our coaches to determine which of our Academy Programs will be best for your child’s tennis progress and enjoyment.
High Performance – Ages 10-18
The High Performance Academy Group provides a challenging pathway for the player who wishes to pursue collegiate tennis and potentially a professional pathway. To be part of the High Performance Academy, you must have a strong work ethic and must qualify as a tournament player competing in USTA National L1-L5 tournaments as well as ITF tournaments with the goal to play collegiate tennis. Academy workouts consist of live ball drills, match play and fitness. All players have a development plan and receive guidance on how to achieve their goals through their training and tournament schedule. Players should plan to play at least one USTA tournament each month, as competition is a vital tool in the development of the athlete. Players must qualify for and be selected to join this program. An Evaluation Session can be scheduled by contacting Charlotte Tennis NC.
Annual Registration: $200
Length Of Session / Class: 2 – 2.5 Hours
Classes Offered: 4 – 5 Times Per Week
Days*: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sun Play Option
Pre-Purchased 10 Packages: $600
Monthly Membership: $800 (Allows player to attend unlimited classes/sessions.)

Elite Juniors – Ages 8-16

All Stars – Ages 10-18
The All Stars Academy Group aims for personal excellence in all aspects of tennis: physical, technical, tactical, and mental. We educate players through sport and impart the core values that are the pillars of our training. Players are encouraged to seek a higher standard, whether their goal is playing high school tennis, competing in USTA tournaments, or aspiring to play college or professional tennis. Players should plan to play at least one USTA tournament each month, as competition is a vital tool in the development of the athlete. Players must qualify for and be selected to join this program. Racqueteers – Ages 8-12
The Racqueteers Academy Group is for students who are committed to developing their athletic and technical skills while also learning to compete in a fun environment. Charlotte Tennis NC Academy core values are woven into all aspects of the program. Players are encouraged to attend academy multiple times per week to get the most from the program. They should play in an average of 1 tournament per month and participate in Junior Team Tennis. 11-16 ages use Yellow Balls and Ages 10 & Under use Green Dot Balls. Players must qualify for and be selected to join this program. An Evaluation Session can be scheduled by contacting Charlotte Tennis NC.

Future Aces – Ages 7-10
The Future Aces introduces young players to the game of tennis on a shorter court and play with low compression balls. Students learn proper technique and footwork and get their first experience of point play with fun competitive drills. Players must develop orange ball proficiency within the parameters before transitioning to the green ball. Emphasis is placed on our core values and character development.

Hot Shots – Ages 5-7
Hot Shots are for Beginner players and focuses on general and tennis specific athletic skills. As players are ready, they will develop basic racquet skills on shorter court with red (low compression) tennis balls. Emphasis is placed on our core values and character development. Children must develop red ball proficiency for all shots before they transition to the orange ball. Players are encouraged to attend academy a minimum of once a week to get the most out of the program.

Registration For Classes / Sessions
Players can register online using our CourtReserve APP.
Academy Classes require pre-registration and players must have a current Annual Academy Registration / Membership.
Players can register up to 14 days in advance and can cancel up until 7 hours before the class. No Walk-Ins will be allowed.
Cancellations after the 7-hour deadline must be emailed to [email protected].
If the class is cancelled for weather, or other reasons, an email will be sent to all players.
Weather Policy
Charlotte Tennis NC Academy will update our Global Announcement Section on our CourtReserve APP for any cancellations due to weather or court conditions. If a Session has already started and the courts become unplayable, parents will be notified by email and players will be kept inside, or under safe cover, until parents can arrive to pick players up. Some Sessions may be able to use the indoor facilities on some occasions. Sessions that have not completed at least one hour of training will be automatically credited back to the customers online account to be used for future Sessions.
